One of the most complex areas of environmental technology in the 21st century is that of water treatment.

Factors such as the oxygen content of the water, the composition of the raw hydrogen, the different properties of the substances and microorganisms in the water as well as their reactivity, flow velocities and the temperature of the water are elementary points that influence the effectiveness of various water treatment processes.

These differ mainly in terms of the efficiency of filtration and in the final quality of the water.

They are also not universally suitable for all requirements due to existing weaknesses.

The safest way to generate the purest water possible is to treat it after the “pipe”, as this avoids the problem of subsequent contamination due to foreign substances present in the pipe after the treatment unit.

According to the UN, some 750 million people lack access to clean drinking water. Climate change is causing increasing periods of drought, and contaminant levels in groundwater are rising.

The World Health Organization expects this figure to rise to around 1.8 billion by 2025.

Industry pollutes the air and everything seeps into the groundwater. 

The Chinese government, for example, officially declares that it cannot guarantee clean air and water.

But in Germany, too, we have to contend with hormones, pharmaceutical residues and chemicals in drinking water, which pass the barriers of waterworks with increasing ease.

Among other things, this is due to outdated treatment technologies and also to the fact that there are neither limit values nor legal regulations for around 50,000 substances.

German drinking water is not tested for viruses, drug residues or hormones.

We have paid special attention to this problem in the development of the Membratech® A-Series and created a worldwide unique system that can effectively counteract global drinking water pollution.

An external high-performance sterile filter and an internal carbon block filter remove most of the foreign substances in the water, such as heavy metals, sediment, chemicals and germs, before the water reaches the heart of the Membratech® A series.

Specially designed hydrocarbon membranes, whose pores are 1 million times finer than a human hair, safely remove even small molecular contaminants such as viruses, hormones and drug residues from drinking water.

Another advantage is their chemical resistance and non-stick surface to counteract deposits on the membranes.

The intelligent and sensor-connected Secure-OPT safety system of the Membratech® A-Series monitors all performance-relevant processes 24 hours a day and even detects changes in raw water, to which it reacts with adapted membrane rinsing.

Our EVO-SOLUTION SKW30 nano-impregnation, also awarded the German Innovation Prize, which is used in the Membratech® A-Series, kills viruses and bacteria on contact with water.

Our Membratech® A-Series has also been antibacterially sealed on the outside with EVO-Solution SKW30.

The tankless “Direct-Flow” process prevents contamination of the mostly used storage tanks and the “Flush-Out” function sucks off the remaining water in the pipes after successful water withdrawal and transports it out of the system to prevent water stagnation.

With capacities of 80-300 liters/hour depending on the model, the Membratech® A-Series is also among the world leaders in this field. But it is not only the technology that is impressive, but also the design!
